A New Creative Hub in Downtown Alexandria

The Visual Arts Center will provide a dedicated space for exhibitions, meetings, and workshops, allowing us to engage with the public in new and meaningful ways. Its large street-level window and inviting Broadway entrance make it easy for visitors to discover local artists and enjoy the energy of Alexandria’s retail district.

Though the space is technically a basement level, it features extra-wide stairs for easy access, and we are actively raising funds and pursuing necessary permissions to install a lift, ensuring accessibility for all.

A Community Effort

This project is powered by the enthusiasm and generosity of our members and volunteers. Several have started to clean, paint, and prepare the space for opening to the public in November. A dedicated Exhibitions Committee is already at work planning a full calendar of shows, events, and workshops for the coming year — creating opportunities for artists to share their work and for the public to experience the richness of visual arts in our region.

Winter Hours

After our inaugural event in the new space this past Holiday Season, we have shifted to reduced hours for the winter. We will be open every Friday and Saturday, from 11 am to 3 pm.
