Stephen Henning is a Minnesota-based contemporary landscape painter whose work combines Impressionist sensitivity to light with chromatic color, expressive brushwork, and layered surfaces. Drawing from a lifelong connection to forests, lakes, and wild American landscapes, he creates paintings that convey both the character of a particular place and the experience of being within it.

Henning is particularly known for immersive, large-scale original paintings created to hold a strong presence within a space. His work has been exhibited regionally and nationally and is held in private collections throughout the United States. He works from his country studio near Evansville, Minnesota.
