Art deTour 2025
Save the Dates for June 20-21, 2025We are always looking for new artists! Consider participating in this exciting event. Deadline for registration is Mar 1.
6″x6″ show and sale”Here Fishy Fishy”We will be holding a fundraising show in August of donated 6″x6″ artwork, with the theme having to do with fish. Each artist may contribute up to 5 pieces for this show. The Alex Art Guild will provide 6″x6″ canvases if you wish to use them. Any medium is acceptable but must be able to be hung with a wire across the back and no larger than 6″x6″. Entries are due by Aug 1. The works will be sold for $20 ea. with the proceeds going to the guild.
This is something that can be done with a small group of friends together or worked on during our paint together studio time. You can invite your children/grandchildren to do it with you or host your own paint & sip event with friends. It is intended to be a fun activity and a fundraiser for our club. Our hope is that it will showcase the wide variety of talent in our group as well as get more people from the community engaged.
The details are still being worked out so the location is yet to be determined. Volunteers will be needed to help with collecting the artwork, hanging the show, manning the show during the public viewing. If you want to be involved in this please let us know by emailing alexartguild@gmail.com or noniob@gmail.com
The Artist reception is this Thurs, Feb 20 from 2-4pm

Good Afternoon!
Our Human Service CAPS class is responsible for organizing and running the Empty Bowls Project dedicated to helping solve food insecurity in Alexandria. This event will be hosted on March 20th from 5-7 pm serving food and hosting a silent auction. We ask the local artists of Alexandria to donate beautifully handmade items for a silent auction with all of the profits going to Food Shelves or United Way. Any art would be appreciated. If any artists create bowls, we would appreciate a bowl donation for guests to eat out of!
Please let us know if this is possible or if you need additional information. We would love to have you all there as well!!
Thank you,
Human Service CAPS Class
